Acceptance of terms

By using this website or engaging Goodwill Clearing & Forwarding Co. LLC for clearing, forwarding or transport services, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Our services

We provide customs clearance, import and export freight forwarding by air and sea, and local transport within the United Arab Emirates. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we act as your agent when dealing with customs authorities, carriers and port operators.

Quotations and charges

Quotations are based on the information you provide about the cargo, its value, weight, dimensions and routing. If that information turns out to be inaccurate or incomplete, charges may change accordingly.

Duties, taxes, port charges, storage, demurrage and other third-party costs are payable by you. Quotations are valid for the period stated and are subject to space and rate availability at the time of booking.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for giving us accurate and complete shipping documentation, for ensuring the goods are lawful and correctly described, and for obtaining any permit or licence your cargo requires.

Dangerous, restricted or prohibited goods must be declared to us in writing before booking.

Payment

Invoices are payable according to the terms stated on them. We may withhold release or delivery of cargo where amounts due in respect of that cargo remain unpaid.

Liability

Our liability for any claim is limited to the extent permitted by applicable UAE law and by the conditions of the carriers and authorities involved in your shipment.

We are not liable for delays, losses or costs caused by customs inspection, authority decisions, carrier schedules, weather, strikes or other events outside our reasonable control. We recommend arranging cargo insurance, which we can help you organise.

Claims

Claims relating to loss or damage must be notified to us in writing as soon as possible after delivery, and in any event within the time limits set by the relevant carrier or convention.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
